On September 26 and 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene impacted the five counties of our Diocese. The storm surge during high tide brought historic amounts of flooding. We pray for all who are affected and for those mourning the loss of property, or even worse, their loved ones. To begin assisting those most affected, Bishop Parkes will be accepting donations through the Diocese of St. Petersburg Disaster Relief Fund.

Prayer After a Storm:
God of stillness, the voice of calm, be with your people now as they emerge from this storm. Walk alongside them in each one of us as we seek to bring comfort to the distressed, shelter to the homeless, and share the strength to carry on. In the face of chaos and destruction, guide us to act with compassion and let us never lose heart, for your hope lasts forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
