Welcome Deacon Peter Andre

Sacred Heart is thrilled to welcome another deacon to our parish family! Deacon Peter Andre grew up in the Chicago area and lived in the Minneapolis area for 10 years before moving to Florida in 1986. Deacon Peter was ordained for the Diocese of St. Petersburg in 1997. In 2003, he earned a Masters Degree in theology with a specialization in liturgy from the University of Notre Dame. He served on the diocesan liturgy commission for 23 years. Deacon Peter also served as the director of prison ministry for the diocese for 13 years, led 6 Medical Missions to rural Haiti, and is an active volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Clearwater. Before coming to Sacred Heart, he served at St. Cecelia parish in Clearwater and Holy Family parish in St. Petersburg. Deacon Peter has been married to his wife Patti since 1978 and has two grown children. Along with Deacon John and Deacon Chris, we now have a terrific trio…thanks be to God!
